The dates for the 2024 holiday weekend are Thursday, 18 April through Sunday, 21 April. Milestones to be reached in 2024 Amy Acton will be the keynote speaker. The Ohio Osteopathic Symposium is a 2010 collaborative program of OOA and OUHCOM Society of Alumni and Friends. It promises practical and clinically applicable topics. The goal is to provide a CME program with innovative information and insights that can be immediately applied in your practice.

The keynote speaker for the Ohio Osteopathic Symposium will be Dr. Amy Acton. She is the former director of the Ohio Department of Health. She was seen in daily press conferences during the COVID explosion in spring 2020. Her leadership and inspirational guidance are widely praised.
Acton's talk, The Leader we Wish We Had All Is You, will be centered on her leadership and the lessons she learned from her roles as ODH Director, cabinet member, and advisor to Governor. Mike DeWine in the midst of a crisis unprecedented. She will give a look behind the scenes at the COVID-19 response, which involved 11.7 million patients. She will also discuss the traits of leadership that are essential in a modern leadership toolkit. She will discuss the challenges of prevention, including how we've faced not just the virus but also a contagious fear, loneliness and collective trauma.
